Portrait Drawing with CLAIRE BRIDGE is an 8-week class tailored for people of all skill levels, from novice to advanced. Whether you are a complete beginner, unsure about where to start, or an experienced artist wanting to enhance your skills, this class offers a variety of practical exercises to develop your drawing skills, establish confidence and draw realistic portraits.
You will learn:
• How to draw a realistic portrait
• A step-by-step approach to drawing the human form in the classical style
• A rapid approach to the traditional techniques of old masters
• Structure of the human head
• Proportion
• Composition
• Tone and Value
• How to draw with increased accuracy
• How to create the illusion of 3-dimensional form on paper
• Techniques and materials to bring your portraits to life with feeling!
This class is geared toward enhancing observational skills, fostering curiosity, experimenting with materials and boosting confidence.
Each class builds on the previous session.

DRAWING FOUNDATIONS is an 8-week class tailored for people of all skill levels, from novice to advanced. Whether you are a complete beginner, unsure about where to start, or an experienced artist wanting to enhance your skills, this class offers a variety of practical exercises to develop your drawing skills, establish confidence and solid drawing foundations.
What you will learn:
• Ten essential drawing fundamentals including: line, space, shape, form, proportion, composition, perspective, tone, shading and expressive mark making.
• How to draw what you see and create satisfying drawings.
• Experiment with a variety of drawing materials including pencil, charcoal and pan pastel.
• Spark your creativity and expression with fun, practical drawing exercises.
This class is geared toward developing and enhancing skills, increasing eye-hand coordination, fostering curiosity, experimenting with materials and boosting confidence.
